HEAVEN...IN SOUTH DEVON!
At
Kitley House, we are proud to welcome all guests and our canine
friends are no exception.
We
are not just a dog friendly hotel, we are a dog understanding hotel!
We understand that dogs come in all sizes and welcome them all.
For once size isn't everything and having more than one dog isn't
a setback.
A
Little Welcome Gift
On
arrival, our guests with dogs will be offered a complimentary bag
with a personalised letter, disposable scented bags and a selection
of delicious dog biscuits.
Where
can you and your Dog Go?
Your
dog has free access to all the public areas of the hotel except
the Dining Rooms for obvious reasons. Dogs are also permitted in
the bedrooms sharing with their owners. There are Dog waste points
around the gardens.
Enjoying
the Estate
The
grounds are a dog paradise. All the walks around the hotel are suitable
for excercising. The woods lead down to the River Yealm which is
tidal and ideal for swimming. The lake close to the house is shallow
and very muddy - you have been warned! It is also the area where
our wildlife nests and we request that the more "independent" dogs
are kept on a lead to prevent accidents...
Out
and About
During
you stay you will want to explore the countryside and beaches. Forward
planning is good and the www.dogfriendlybritain.co.uk
is usually up to date and has a
full list of dog-friendly beaches, gardens, restaurants, dog sitters,
groomers, taxis and local vets to ensure peace of mind during your
stay. Within easy reach is Mothercombe Beach - which is private
- and allows dogs for most of the year when open.
Do
Not Panic!
OK
so you left in a hurry and you forgot the ...? Well we have a supply
of all the regular dog items and the local supply is close by if
we haven't got it. If we have it then there is no charge for use.
